Hmm...

The ever lovely catcom has suggested a Caesar cut for me (reference of it and a number of these can be found at The Haircut Site - Cut Guide). While I have to say I like the look (I didn't know that style had a name, you learn something new every day) I don't know if it would work for me because of how fine my hair is.

So, the question to all the people in the audience who have A) felt how fine my hair is, and B) know anything about the subject matter: would it work on me without using product? Anyone who has felt my hair knows how fine it is, and should be very well aware of how much I like people playing with it. People don't play with it if it's got product in it, so no product for me. :)

If I get something like this I'll have to loose the hawk, so it's something that I want to be reasonably sure will work before doing it.

Of course, I still need to find a hairdresser/barber that I can trust.

Oooh, that's suit you. (Actually, a few of those look like they would.) And... interesting link: I didn't know there were names for so many haircuts until then. Most educational.

Um, Madam Gothic Glamour on High Street's good... they don't just do alternative hairdos, the pricing's good, and I was really impressed with what they did with Lew's hair a couple of months ago.

Thornbury. Basically it's on the corner of High and Mansfield street.

I think that it would look OK... just not like that model.
With fine, light-coloured hair, anything short and spikey looks good, as not as you don't go overboard with the product. (thick slatherings of gel will only make it look thinner.)

Go to Tony and Guy and ask for a consultation. It will be free. If you want to pamper yourself and book in with them (which I highly recommend) then cool, but at least it will give you an idea.

Speaking of haircuts, did I tell you that I cut mine? It now looks kind of Egyptian... Well, when it's straight it does.

So, you tell me I'm not allowed to get mu hair cut, and then you get yours done? Bah! The check of some people! :)

Photos, must have photos!

Well, I had a reason. I needed to get rid of dry, dead ends.

Yes, lots of people apparently must have these so-called photos, and I shall get around to it at some point...

Desert Rose

I dream of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in vain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand

I dream of fire
Those dreams are tied to a horse that will never tire
And in the flames
Her shadows play in the shape of a man's desire

This desert rose
Each of her veils, a secret promise
This desert flower
No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this

And as she turns
This way she moves in the logic of all my dreams
This fire burns
I realize that nothing's as it seems

I dream of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in vain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand

I dream of rain
I lift my gaze to empty skies above
I close my eyes
This rare perfume is the sweet intoxication of her love

I dream of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in vain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand

Sweet desert rose
Each of her veils, a secret promise
This desert flower
No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this

Sweet desert rose
This memory of Eden haunts us all
This desert flower
This rare perfume, is the sweet intoxication of the fall
