Bugger

One of the reasons I was going down to Melbourne (the ever lovely gypsyamber) isn't going to be able to make it in time before I have to fly back.

So I'm probably going to change my flight.

I could either leave Monday morning, fly back and still make it to work (a 6am or 8am flight) or leave it to later and take the day off work. Thoughts?

Cost will be the same for both choices (the $30 rebooking fee only).

I'm really sorry to have annoyed you.

Hold off on changing your booking. Maybe I can come and meet you friday night after the dance Sean and I are going to...

I can't guarantee a fully comprehensible gypsycat, but it would save you taking a day off you already said you can't.

I need to run it by Sean, as it is his weekend I've promised, and won't be able to get a response until probably tomorrow morning.

I land 11:55 at Melbourne airport, so I'm not sure what I'm going to be able to do at that time.

Don't sweat it. You didn't annoy me, the circumstances did. The easy option would be to change my flight to the next morning and then I'll still be able to make it to work on Monday.

I'm hesitant to take that day off work simply because it's so close to Christmas and I'm going to need the money!

Desert Rose

I dream of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in vain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand

I dream of fire
Those dreams are tied to a horse that will never tire
And in the flames
Her shadows play in the shape of a man's desire

This desert rose
Each of her veils, a secret promise
This desert flower
No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this

And as she turns
This way she moves in the logic of all my dreams
This fire burns
I realize that nothing's as it seems

I dream of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in vain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand

I dream of rain
I lift my gaze to empty skies above
I close my eyes
This rare perfume is the sweet intoxication of her love

I dream of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in vain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand

Sweet desert rose
Each of her veils, a secret promise
This desert flower
No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this

Sweet desert rose
This memory of Eden haunts us all
This desert flower
This rare perfume, is the sweet intoxication of the fall
