Also cute and fluffy!

Just went and saw Lilo & Stitch with Scott, Stephen (paradigmshifty) and Connare.

The movie was about 90 minutes long (the ticket said 100, but ignoring adds and previews 90 sounds about right). The first 70 minutes or so was your average Disney movie, with lots of moral lessons, and niceness.

Then they put on the hyper-drive! The last 20 minutes or so are great. A perfect blend of action and silliness. I now know why this was Stephen's third time at seeing the movie, and he'll probably go see it again.

Fun.

Oh, and if I get around to it, I'll try and do a Livid report either tonight or tomorrow. I know I'm a week behind, but I haven't been well, as I've had a throat infection. :-(

Marion is now annoyed at me for not inviting her to Lilo & Stitch, making the assumption that I organised it...

Desert Rose

I dream of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in vain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand

I dream of fire
Those dreams are tied to a horse that will never tire
And in the flames
Her shadows play in the shape of a man's desire

This desert rose
Each of her veils, a secret promise
This desert flower
No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this

And as she turns
This way she moves in the logic of all my dreams
This fire burns
I realize that nothing's as it seems

I dream of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in vain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand

I dream of rain
I lift my gaze to empty skies above
I close my eyes
This rare perfume is the sweet intoxication of her love

I dream of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in vain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand

Sweet desert rose
Each of her veils, a secret promise
This desert flower
No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this

Sweet desert rose
This memory of Eden haunts us all
This desert flower
This rare perfume, is the sweet intoxication of the fall
