My old computer is four and a half years old, and is really showing it's age. P4 2.8, 2G RAM, 256M Video Card has now been replaced with a Core 2 Quad 2.4, 4G RAM and a 512M Video Card, with three 320G Hard Drives for storage.
I also picked up a new Viewsonic 22" Widescreen LCD monitor to go with my existing Viewsonic 20" LCD Monitor, and I did go with the Antec P182 case like I said I wanted to some time ago.
Woot!
The only problem? I'm not going to get to play with it until tomorrow as I've got a Chiropractor appointment tonight, so no computers afterwards until tomorrow.

I need to replace my desktop PC at some stage which is of a similar age to yours. Recommendations on online stores?
I went with Centre Com Online this time as I wanted to deal with a place in Melbourne, though I cheated and got a friend of mine to get a quote for me via the company he works for so I got a substantial discount. Centre Com are about on par with Umart with prices, and if you check out via the web site it will actually tell you the delivery fee.
I've been using Umart the last couple of years in Brisbane and never had a problem, and I've only just started using Centre Com, so I can't really give too much of a comparison yet.
Dell is an option, but if you are the type of person who actually likes to open up the machine and fiddle, it's not worth it. Dell is good for people who want the whole package and aren't going to modify the hardware. We were using them at the previous place I worked in Brisbane for a couple years with no troubles.
