Friend of mine had a similar style of review for Alien. Now to find it ...
Wizard of Oz!
That certainly applies to The Wizard of Oz, though there have been a number of alternate versions of the original movie that it would equally apply to. (Including a version called, simply, Oz, IIRC.)
