Water, water everywhere...

For those interested, the St George flood.

The aerial view of St George is quite telling. The photo was taken on Saturday the 6th, which would have been at or near the peak of the river. The original estimated peak was about 14 meters, which would have included my brothers house in the flood zone. Thankfully the peak was about 50cm less than that. Now, I know approximately where my brothers house in that photo. To get from the edge of the water to my brothers house, you need to cross most of the town of St George.

50cm makes a BIG difference in places.
