Hmm, thank's to Neil Gaimen (officialgaiman), I have to share this: Penguin Baseball! My top score so far is a measly 250 (edit: make that 266).

For broke people (eg Uni students) who want to get a little bit more out of their cooking, try this.

The best "How to Chinese Stir-Fry" I've ever seen, go here.

A wireless media player that allows users to play digital music and video and view photos stored on PCs on televisions or stereo systems, details here.

Mr Kennedy, a man with far too much time on his hands, has build himself a Trebuche.

If anyone knows of The Acts of Gord, there is a web comic out there as well.

How to make your Star Trek Name:
First 2 letters of your last name
First 2 letters of your first name
First 3 letters of your mother's maiden name
and then add or delete a vowel somewhere in there to make it pronounceable.

This means mine is something like Jo'nmog.

How to make your Star Wars Name:

First:
First three letters of your last name
First two letter of your first name

Last:
First two letters of your mom's maiden name
First three letters of the town in which you were born.

This means mine is Joan Moroc (Great, I'm female again).

How to avoid a speeding fine (unconfirmed, but I like):
Four youths from Canberra, Australia pulled off a trick of breathtaking bravado in order to gain revenge on a mobile speed camera van operating in the area. Three of the group approached the van and distracted the operator's attention by asking a series of questions about how the equipment worked and how many cars the operator could catch in a day. Meanwhile, the fourth musketeer sneaked to the front of the van and unscrewed its number plate. After bidding the van operator goodbye, the friends returned home, fixed the number plate to their car and drove through the camera's radar at high speed - 17 times. As a result, the automated billing system issued 17 speeding tickets to itself. Go Aussies!!

And just because I can, I'd like to end on this note:

Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la

One banana, two banana
Three banana, four
Four bananas make a bunch
And so do many more
Over hill and highway
The banana buggies go
Comin' on to bring you
The Banana Splits Show

Makin' up a mess of fun
Makin' up a mess of fun
Lots of fun for everyone

Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la

Four banana, three banana
Two banana, one
All bananas playing in the bright warm sun
Flippin' like a pancake, poppin' like a cork
Fleagle, Bingo, Drooper an' Snork

Makin' up a mess of fun
Makin' up a mess of fun
Lots of fun for everyone

Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la

Two banana, four banana
One banana, three
Swingin' like a bunch of monkeys
Hangin' from a tree
Hey there everybody
Won't you come along and see
How much like banana splits
Everyone can be

Makin' up a mess of fun
Makin' up a mess of fun
Lots of fun for everyone

Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la

I think Jo'nmog is a GREAT name! Beats D'Echsou. My names sound all squishy and I don't like them. Delch Soips sucks. (Say that three times fast.)

Re:
D'Echsou? Bless you! Sounds like you've got a cold.

And, no, I'd rather not say that three times fast, as I don't want to have to untounge my tie.

Re:
Blame Marion (paxford)then. I started quoting bits of it in emails to her last week, and I then had to go and find the propper lyrics.

Can you remember the name of the group of girls who lived near by? Upstairs I think.

Including extracts of Danger Island; The Three Muskateer & Arabian Knights cartoons and much Fleegle, Drooper, Snorky & Bingo action

I can be bribed for loan outs :-)

And it's probably best if we don't mention your unmentionables. Though I suppose we could just ask Ben.

Re: Penguin baseball
Saves me finding you the link. I didn't notice Hal had it already. My score in the first 5 minutes was 589.2. You have to make the penguin slide.

Re: Penguin baseball
He's a useful boy for finding bizarre things like that (I found his post on my computer when I got home last night) now if only I could stop his evil threats of blackmail for my Banana Splits video - any ideas?

Am having trouble with the Penguin sliding bit - probably because I take an evil glee in having Pingu hit head first into the ice (hee hee hee)

Oh good, so I'm not the only person taking great pleasure in watching the penguin go head first into the snow.

Re: Penguin baseball
a) Publish everything on Community Smut that he could think of to blackmail you with - making his threats useless

b) We can comb the medieval groups for a suitable Bribe.

b+) ...and then we can write "Bribe of Halloranelder" for Community Smut.

320.9 so far, Ozgryph found me the link before I noticed on Neil Gaiman's lj-feed, and I blame him for my new addiction.

Whacking the penguin sounds like a euphimism though doesn't it? ;)

I think the most disturbing thing about it is the fact that it looks like the penguin is enjoying it!

Star Trek - Babrdue

Star Wars - Banbr Dunew

The Shout Brothers would sometimes cover that Banana Splits song too :)

Desert Rose

I dream of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in vain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand

I dream of fire
Those dreams are tied to a horse that will never tire
And in the flames
Her shadows play in the shape of a man's desire

This desert rose
Each of her veils, a secret promise
This desert flower
No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this

And as she turns
This way she moves in the logic of all my dreams
This fire burns
I realize that nothing's as it seems

I dream of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in vain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand

I dream of rain
I lift my gaze to empty skies above
I close my eyes
This rare perfume is the sweet intoxication of her love

I dream of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in vain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand

Sweet desert rose
Each of her veils, a secret promise
This desert flower
No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this

Sweet desert rose
This memory of Eden haunts us all
This desert flower
This rare perfume, is the sweet intoxication of the fall
